I'm sorry you're going through a rough time. I noticed you are only on Lialda. Could it be that you need other 5-ASA meds like Rowasa? I have been flaring since April and only now am seeing less blood. The key is to be patient and know you will eventually come out of this flare. I tried Lialda for a month and I got worse. I went back to 12 Asacol a day and a Rowasa enema every night. I am finally seeing a glimmer of hope and you will too. Hang in there.
left-sided colitis diagnosed after 3rd pregnancy 11 years ago

                      Rowasa enemas nightly during flares

Was in remission for 5 years. 6 Asacol per day

Theo...please call your doctor and request 5ASA rectal meds such as Rowasa or if you're not in the US..Salofalk. The retention enemas are that I'd suggest.

There is something that you can do to help get the rectal inflammation controlled....better than suffering.
