The last couple of weeks I have had weekness in my legs to the point of trouble walking, headaches, extreme exhaustion. I have a appointment with my family Doc in the a.m. After all my research it appears people with intestinal disorders are @ higher risk. I've been on the SCD diet and not really eating Carbs or Sugar. I'm wondering if my glucose levels are messed up due to the UC and SCD diet? Anyone else dealt with this?

Are you taking in enough protein from meats, are you getting B vitamins (many are in grains, so nixing some carbs could eliminate some B's).

Get the doc to check that for sure...also are you taking calcium with vitamin D?

Get the doc to do the gammit of tests and for thyroid as well.

Let us know the outcome of the appointment.

sugar bothers my uc really bad, but I have also had low sugar all my life and now that I try to stay away from sweets it does present a problem, sometimes my sugar count drops down to low I get all shaky, and headaches, also I get real light headed with it so I have to break down and eat something sweet, its one of those darn if you do and darn if you dont cases.
