So I had my colonoscopy last week, and even though I had been feeling. . . decent, my Dr. says I still have an active flareup. Which was somewhat of a surprise, since I didn't have blood (well, maybe once a week, just a little) even though I sure didn't have good formations and had maybe 2-3 BMs a day.

So he upped my Azathioprine and put me back on Prednisone, and says I may be going on Humira. I haven't asked him directly yet, (have an appt coming up to talk about this) but he sounds like he is against Remicade because Humira might be safer, long-term.

Any opinions on this?

My GI is dead against Humira. My insurance will pay for it over remicade for some reason but he doesn't think it's a good idea. Doctors never seem to agree though. I am curious about the differences as well if anyone has any info on it. Good Luck!

Just a suggestion, you can try asking what the difference between Humira and Remicade is over in the Crohns forum. They might be able to answer your question a little better.
