Sorry; just had to vent as it's been a long time since I've actually felt this UC horrible. I knew it was coming on this morning because I could hardly get out of bed I was so fatigued, and then when I got to work the old searing backache appeared, and then the bottom on fire started. When I finally decided to leave work, I was more than ticked as I was going to miss two important classes, but I could hardly keep my eyes open. I came home and plopped into bed, awoke two hours later and feel like I can feel every joint in my body... and thought maybe I could go back to work and catch the afternoon class, but I can hardly move. I know it's a passing thing, and I've actually been regularly exercising etc, so I've been feeling pretty good. The worst part? Everyone says to me, "Well, maybe you've just picked up a bug." And that's even after explaining that I'm having a bad UC day. Okay, I'm done venting. :-)

Awe Carol, I'm so sorry that you are having such a bad day. I hope that is all it turns out to be is just one day. I suggest you just get some rest and take care of yourself, take a long bath with bubbles of course, play some beautiful music and just turn it into a YOU day. I wish you well and send you a big (((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))).
Take care sweetie,
Emily

I am so very sorry...I know it is hard to feel "the fall" when you have been up so long.  Your remission has been a blessing, and hope you move back to that state soon.  Remember you are our inspiration...and hopefully we are yours....

Hey Carol... Maybe you just picked up a bug......................NOT!!!!! .. Sorry, I couldn't resist... Hope that brought a sort of smile/smirk to your face.. lol... Believe me honey, I know that feeling!!! Well, I'm feeling for you, I've had my share of aches and pains as you well know... Now I'm feeling a bit better that way now, not too many aches and pains lately, but I've picked up this crappy thing with my feet. Plantar faschitis or something like that... It's Very common but hurts like HE**.... Maybe we can meet up for breakfast sometime soon and gimp around together!! LOL... Maybe Sherree can join us and she can walk in the middle and hold us both up... LOL... Oh well... enough joking, I just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery and many get well wishes... Take Care Girlfrind and let's get together soon! (((((((((((Carol))))))))))))))

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement; I try not to let this disease get me down, but even though I'm in considered remission there are times it makes you stop in your tracks! So I'm eating all the comfort foods; yogurt, bread, cheese, and now gnocchi. Oh, and I got a chick flick to watch. :-) So I'm going to put my feet up again and veg out for the rest of the night. What would I do without you guys, huh? And Susie...yeah, it must be a bug...hee hee. Love to get together again with you and Sherree.

I definately know what it feels like to have everything going so good and then bam! down you go for the count again! I'm sorry you are having such a hard day. Hopefully this is just a blip and you're not heading into a full blown flare. Hang in there ladyfriend and I hope you feel better soon.

Well, I slept most of yesterday and I just woke up; kind of feel like a truck hit me, but I know its the joints. I definitely don't feel as bad as yesterday, and I promised to take my Mom out shopping today, so I have to dust myself off and start moving! :-) Thanks for asking Bob!

Well that would explain why I haven't heard from you this week! I'm so sorry you're having a UC "moment." Maybe it was a 'bug' (LOL)...nah, just kidding.

I'm available for breakfast (or dinner) when you and Susie are up to it...you both know how to reach me, WE'RE WAY OVERDUE for this get together, ya know??!!

Hope you're doing better today - go easy on the shopping.

Hey Carol,

I hope things improve for you.... please call your GI. And rest up this weekend and think about adding some enemas to your meds.

Bob, pass that oil can to me when you get the chance, it seems like this new plastic disc they put in my neck wasn't oiled hee hee.

Love to all.

Take care.

What our lovely Carol has failed to tell everyone is the wild frat party she went to the night before the day she felt awful.  Its ok, though, Carol-- no one parties like you :o)  And never you mind the fact that your shirt is still flying above old glory at the Alpha Eta Rho house!  yeah

Hope that made you laugh a lil Carol-- with this disease, if you do not laugh, you will inevitably cry-- here's to you feeling better soon.

Hey y'all; felt a little better yesterday afternoon, but it hit me big time again last night so I've spent the day vegging out. I'm actually at my sweet boyfriend's house and he has been taking care of me big time; very very nice. Thanks to all my friends for your support -- this too shall pass. Hey, he had a good laugh about the "frat party" since he's been to many of those....he was a frat brother. Hee hee. Anyway if this stupid joint pain would end, I'd feel much better. Hopefully soon! :-)
