Hi, I'm new to the forum.  Has anyone had any luck with Boswellia? It is an herb from India. I was trying to find an herbal supplement that would reduce internal inflammation sort of like aspirin or something does. I read this is one of the more popular alternative herbs used in Germany ( Supposedly it take six weeks or so to start working; I've been taking it for three and I'm not sure I've seen any effect yet. Anyone else had success with it?  I might be going on 6-MP soon and I'm not sure I want to mix them.

Hey Ben and Welcome! I tried it last year and it didn't have any effect on my (positive or negative). I know we have some members taking it. Hopefully they will chime in soon. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

100mg Azathioprine, 2 Fibercon, Colazal-9 a day (attempting to cut this down to 6 by slowly tapering), acidopholis pearls, just added Prilosec OTC

there's a LARGE body of evidence for boswellia and UC coming out of India. I've taken it for months at a time with *no* discernible difference, sadly.

Left-sided UC, Jun 2005. Flex-sig only... clear for first 20cms, then inflamed through next 30cms.
