Which would you rather have to take?

Pred. gets me out of flares quickly. Negatives: need higher dose each flare, insomnia, loopy feeling.

I actually was steriod dependent and went on Imuran to get off it.

What is going on? Are you flaring? What meds are you currently on?

I start imuran in the morning to get me off of steroids. I had pred. I am steroid dependent and vow (once more, of course) never to go on it again!

Imuran!!!

I'm actually in a flare right now and I just got off prednisone the first week of July, and my doctor wanted me to go back on the prednisone until the Imuran started working (three months or so) and I just told him I'd rather be really sick and wait three months being sick for it to work, then get back on prednisone and take that much longer to get off again. No thanks, I'm done with it.
