Hello all, sorry for being absent, I was bedridden most of the week. My diabetic foot condition took a turn for the worse (called Charcot - pronounced sharko feet) with another bone collapse - and when that happens all the upper support - calves, knees, thighs, hips and back go out on you. The pain has been remarkable - and I am now taking percocet daily for a while. Even with the constapating effects of percoset, my UC has started up again - again a blessed two weeks after my first remi infusion, I go Sept 6 and hope for more relief.
I am assuming the trauma of my legs have set me off into a miniflare.
I am still tapering the pred - but decided to go more slowly given my other problems.
I have not made dinner/meals all week...or done anything but lay down and watch tv (ugghh). Reading is too hard with the percoset. My minister friend came over and cooked for us the other night.
My entire body is so sore, and unstable that he also helped me with my shower - now that's a friend.
When I am better I will make him a huge vat of apple butter - he loves that. And for my wife - I will endeavor to make her something special as well.
In the meantime, I hope all of you are faring well...miss and love you all.
