don't know if this could be related to UC... it doesn't really seem like it to me but i guess you never know...

anyway, only recently i have been having a strange dripping nose. only about 3 or 4 drops out of one nostril (not sure if it's the same one every time), very watery, not mucous. i'm not sneezing, not sick. it can happen at home, or out, or in air conditioned places. it's happening once or twice a day.
no other cold-like or allergy-like symptoms.
it's very odd and very new. possibly increasing in frequency (a couple of weeks ago it was not happening every day).

UC is currently very predictable, always in the bathroom a few times in the morning and then nothing the rest of the day. not a very pleasant consistency but no blood, no pain, no mucous.

anyone else have anything like this??

UC (probably pancolitis, but no c-scope yet), diagnosed June 2006, started having major symptoms sometime in January 2006, about 3 months after childbirth. 2nd flare (minor) may 2007 after taking caprylic acid for 2 weeks.

-SCD for 4 weeks with no improvement...
-Asacol since 7/26/06
-Prednisone 8/28/06-2/28/07. and again may '07, 8 week course.
-probiotics, ground psyllium husk, fish oil, CalMag, multivitamin

I have allergy, especially at this time of year.  I use a nose pot with saline and inhaled steam with essential oils to help.

love to all

mine does that off and on because of my allergies. I use zyrtec year round and saline nose spray during the summer to keep the allergins washed out of my nose in the summer time.

I think I read somewhere that asacol can cause nasal drip, although it might have azathioprine.
