Hey guys

Well i had a GI appointment last week and he gave me another dose of Flagyl. He also gave me  Panaloc but not for acid reflux. He said it will help with the stomach pain when i dont have any but i did have it when i was on Flagyl. Also he is an intern and i dont trust his judgement because he is lost and doesnt know his stuff.

Anyone hear of this ? Im gonna start the Flgyl tomorrow. I have it for 14 days this is going to be brutal. Or does anyone know of anything else i can take to make the side effects less severe.

Take care guys

Here's a link to tell you about Pantoloc: http://chealth.canoe.ca/drug_info_details.asp?brand_name_id=47&rot=2#Indication  it says it's often used in combination with an antibiotic (Flagyl) to combat bacteria. Judy

Flagyl is an antibiotic, make sure you're taking a good probiotic daily and take your probiotic at least 2 hours after you're done taking your flagyl (antibiotic) for the day, antis kill everything, IBDers tend to have bacterial over-growth so taking a good probiotic daily and indefinitely is essential to bring balance to the gut flora.

I use primadophilus reuteri made by natures way, it's been very helpful.
