Has anyone experienced white tissue or white material in their stools...???

Is this the internal lining of the colon pilling out.?? Or is this just a normal reaction to suppositories and pills.

Jase7777,

This is something I have never heard of, I would have a chat with your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Take care.

Definitely sounds like mucous to me. I'm assuming you are flaring?

I get white fatty looking stuff, looks like something you'd trim off a piece of meat. I assume its tissuey mucous stuff?
Will know tomorrow, going for my first c-scope.

Sometimes when I have mucous in my stool it looks like snot and sometimes it looks like just bits of tissue or something, it's weird.

What kind of suppositories are you on? When I was doing the Canasa suppositories, every time I went to the bathroom in the morning I would have like globs of white junk come out that was left over suppository and a lot of times it would mix in the stool and make it look really strange. That could be it too.

im on ASACOL SUPPS.
THIS MORNING THE STOOLS WERE BY FAR THE STRANGEST. I KNOW HOW THESE SUPPS COULD LOOK UPON DISCHARGE BUT TODAY ONE OF THEM LOOKED LIKE A THREAD OF 15MM TWISTED AND MORE SPOUTS INSIDE THE STOOL.
I GUESS ITS VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT U HAVE DESCRIBED

How long have you been on the suppositories? What other meds do you take?

Also just an FYI....typing in all caps means you are yelling!

The white stuff in your stools is MUCUS. As with other parts of your body, your colon generates mucus in reaction to irritation/infection.

Yeah, I get that white stuff too...I would say it is mucus also...I always describe it as looking like raw chicken fat...I know, that's disgusting, but thats what it always reminds me of...When I get that, I know I'm flaring or getting ready to...A lot of the time, there is a small amount of blood with it...Sorry for the graphic details, but where else can you talk about your BM's... tongue

Hehe, just reading that paragraph and picturing someone yelling it was really funny. It made me think of David Lynch (as Gordon Cole) in Twin Peaks if anyone has seen that (best TV series ever).

Asocol will leave the white stuff on your stool if it blows up in your rectum. Supps also do the same thing. There will also be a film floating on top of the water sometimes. West
