That's true...usually, it will cause constipation rather than diarrhea, but stress of pain can cause diarrhea...and less pain can cause less stress..etc.
The mismessages wouldn't cause inflammation.
There is a form of "colitis" called ischemic colitis that can mimic UC...completely different cause, however.
Seems a respectful chiro you're seeing.
I see a chiro fairly regularly (seen him more since I fell on the stairs two weeks ago)...nice to have less pain, however. He's never mentioned any positives regarding UC flares. But, chronic pain (headaches, shoulders, legs, back, etc) definitely can be stressful emotionally, and less pain is less stress for me.
Hope you find relief regardless...lots of stuff can be indirectly related. Perspective is always better when we feel good.
