For the last few days I have not had very "productive" bowel movements.  I woke up very early this morning, just turned my head on the pillow and I got so dizzy.  about the same time I had to go to the bathroom and I have been having very productive bowel movements since - about 10 of them.  I feel like my colon is cleaning itself out.  I am still feeling yucky and kind of dizzy.  Could this dizziness be related to my UC or is it most likely something else?  I am taking 12 Asacol and 1 Rowasa a day plus cinnamon and acidophilus.  Has anyone else had experience with this - it is kind of freaking me out.

It could be because:

- You're bleeding and you're light headed from the loss of blood.
- Your medication.
- You're dehydrated.
- You have not eaten anything lately.
- You're not getting enough exercise.
- All of the above.

99% anemia take iron vitamin c and b12
my gi gave me a prescription for chromagen which is iron, vit c and b12 for the anemia. Do something about it, when the blood is too weak, it make sit that much harder for your body to heal. thats why im debating the blood transfusion the doctor reccomended, i feel lik ei am not healing right now. plus i have a hard time making it up mor ethan 3 flights of stairs, just get too dizzy

It could be from the 5-ASAs. I got the head-spinning kind after ca. 10 weeks on 9 Colazal daily. Reduced dosage after consulting gastro & the dizziness went away. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC; currently on 6 Colazal daily for July flare in descending colon; should be back in remission again soon)

yes, I am a little dizzy today, but I have been flaring badly for two weeks and its like diarreah and blood clots every time I go.  Mostly in the am and and night.  I seem to be getting some kind of small break during the day.  I am very tired.  I have been drinking vitamin water and taking vitamins, trying to keep myself hydrated.

I just want to get better and I know the 5ASA drugs helped me but not 100% sure it caused my MCD I almost want to start taking them just so I will feel ok.  I need to find a new GI, that is my goal this week contact the Chrons and Colitis center in Boston this week and start the ball rolling.

I didn't know how 'lucky' I have been these past 7 years, I forgot how bad my first flare was.....now I remember.
