So I haven't had an accident in so long but today while driving to my sister's house I couldn't help it. I was 2 miles away from my mom's house so it could have been a lot worse. I really thought I was doing better...i think I was over confident. My Gi lowered my pred and I was trying to ignore the usual backslide.

Mostly I am just mad at myself. I know it wasn't my fault. I know it's just part of this darned disease. As well as I feel I handle having UC (I try to see the positive, how i would have never met my husband had I not been dx'd ect) but this just crushed me. It's so hard to focus on the positive when you something like this happens.

Just needed to vent. Thanks.

I'm so sorry to hear about the accident. I've been in your shoes plenty of times, and I know exactly how you feel. Are your symptoms gradually improving though? It seems like if your doc has lowered your prednisone than you must be showing some signs of improvement. Just keep focusing on the positive and remember that these things come and go in waves...things will get better.

I am sorry, I have been there :)
I think that others try to relate, but only some one with UC truly gets it.

Hey Kelly. That stinks! Are you feeling better now? Anytime I have been on pred. and tapered I see a little surge in symptoms. Hopefully things will calm down for you soon. Hang in there!

(((((((Kelly)))))))

Having an accident is so darn discouraging. We all understand.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Try not to let it stop you from continuing to get out and about.

Again, I'm so sorry this happened, hon.

One time I was just walking, no stomach cramps, no feelings of urgency and boom, no warning, nothing. Thank god I was in my back yard. Went to the bathroom and it got everywhere when I took my sweats off. Cried in the shower, cried as I cleaned the floor, cried as I put my sweats in the washer sad Yeah, it can suck.
