I've had a really stressful week as my daughter has been ill. That's why i haven't been about guys.On Friday night i had bad D and extreme urgency, but it did pass until today(Sunday).Since i woke today i have spent most of the day in the bathroom.I am so sore down there it brings tears after every wipe. Feels like I'm passing razorblades.:) I dread every visit to the loo, pain pain pain.

I was doing so well tapering too. Stress is such a massive factor in my UC. This couldn't have come at a worse time for me, as i need to be in top form to deal with my little daughters needs.Hopefully The big guy up there will feel sorry for me and cut me some slack and get me feeling better soon.

((Marty) here's some hugs for you. Please try to be nice to yourself though it's rough when you have to deal with so much right now. Hang in there and I will cross my fingers to hope that things turn around for both you and Beth.

Hello Marty, I am a newbie and I know what stress can do to your body, but everyone and the doctors keep telling me that stress has nothing to do with it. but I know they are wrong, STRESS has everything to do with it. for When I am calm my body works with me.
I can feel your pain with your little girl being ill and that is alot of stress and that is why your running to the bathroom so if you can get yourself into a calmer frame of mine, you can get your body to work with you, and also help your daughter. I know I don't know much of UC for I am new, but just wanted to send Hugs ((((( HUGS ))))) to you and your daughter.
I have a disabled child so I am faced with alot of stress everyday, and it's good to talk to others to calm me down.

Sorry to hear about your flaring. I know stress plays a major role in my UC also, so I know how that is. I know it is hard, but try to relax and take care of yourself. I will send some hugs your way for you and your daughter both.

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

I know what you are going thru. I am 3 weeks away from my divorce being final, and stress does play a part with me as well. I use flushable wipes when I have to use the bathroom. I have paper in the house for guests, but I have not used paper down there in 2yrs and it does help me a lot. I have some that has aloe in it so you might want to try that to ease the pain a little. Good Luck.

Aw Marty, my heart goes out to you and Bethy-boo. ((HUGS)) and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping you feel better soon, and that Beth is out of the woods and things start moving forward again. Take care my friend.

What are you tapered down to?  I am down to 10 M Pred.  The diareah has never stopped, the bleeding stopped but the diareah has picked back up and now the bleeding is back! UGH

TheLori, just my two cents but maybe go back up a bit and try a much slower taper to give your colon time to heal...I dunno but its worth a shot I guess.
