I know I am to watch my salt and sugar and I can not tolerate most raw veggies or fruits.

My typical daily snacks consist of: Activia yogurt, applesauce and banana.  I have healthy meals, as well, although I need to exercise more portion control with but it's the in between times now, that I want to munch, munch, munch.

WHAT about more snacks for the munchies?  I want to munch on everything and this is CRAZY!  devil

What did previous or current Pred'ers munch on that didn't add salt, sugar or calories and send you to the bathroom b/c of too much bulk/fiber??

Carrots for me. Do you think pred is affecting you already? It usually takes a bit of time, I thought.

I always have the munchies regardless of prednisone and of course it seems worse on the darn drug. The best thing obviously is to snack on fruits or veggies since you will fill full faster and get the nutrients your body needs, but if you say you cant do this there are always alternatives. I like to snack on rice cakes. You can get cheap and flavored ones. I also eat lots of nuts and sunflower seeds, but I chew them slowly and make sure no large chunks get swallowed.

I think overeating is big problem especially if you don't snack wisely.

I have a good appetite anyway (I just love food). I am trying to gain as little as possible and don't have the munchies yet but I like to eat "Pria Plus" bars they are only 110 calories and taste good.

I love pasta and have cut out white/refined pasta and I am not used the wheat pasta yet (still tastes like cardboard to me) and have been cooking veggies lately. Red onion, portobello mushrooms & fresh garlic or last nite I made, red, yellow, orange peppers, with vidalia, red onion and fresh garlic 2 tbsp olive oil + balsamic vinegar to taste (I love it, so I added a pretty good amount).

For breakfast have been having yogurt (stonyfield has a good chocolate and maple vanilla, low fat) and adding a banana and 1/4 cup of fiber cereal for crunch and I really like it.

My biggest weakness is cheese, I love cheese.....with a side of cheese.

Love to see what people suggest. I like carrot sticks but can only tolerate them for so long, I wish I could just be satisfied eating them, but I would like some cream cheese frosting on the end.......
