Hi Friends - I have decided to take a little break from our website in an attempt to spend less time focused on UC. I have been off prednisone for 2 weeks now and am in that period of just having to wait and see if Imuran is going to work. I find myself thinking all the time about Imuran, about what will happen if it doesn't work....it is really stressing me out.... so I am trying to quit thinking about it so much and I think that taking a break from our website will help me. This site has been great - you are an amazing collection of people- and I will definitely be back, but hopefully I will be back when I choose to, as oppose to needing to because I have failed Imuran. I am just telling you this because I know that we all tend to worry about each other when we haven't heard from someone in awhile, so I didn't want you to worry. Wish me luck as I try to stop thinking about my UC, and please send me all your good vibes so that the Imuran will work. I will check back in sometime in the next few weeks, I guess. In the mean time, I will keep you guys in my thoughts as we all march on through this crazy illness.

Will be thinking of you!  Let us know how the Imuran works.  My Gastro says he thinks that when I get off of the prednisone that I will most likely start Imuran.  Not sure exactly how to send good vibes (computer illiterate at times), but they are sent your way!!!

I know what you mean, there are times that I take breaks too just so I'm not focusing on my health all the time. Best wishes and remember you're welcome back anytime!

Good idea. Get out and take a walk, enjoy the beauty of fall. I bet it's simply gorgeous in North Carolina at this time of the year.

Stay well.

Go for it! I truly believe I can get obsessed with this too. The mind and gut have such a strong connection, ease the mind and ease the gut.

Absolutely - a refreshing change for you. I am assuming at some point this will probably be something I should do as well as it can be "all consuming" and play on the emotions as well and I am not the one struggling with this personally.

Take care and I truly hope the Imuran helps and makes a big difference as it appears 4 months later it is what made the major difference and change for my husband after suffering for almost a year or so before going on the Imuran.
