You sure can but it may increase your symptoms a bit. If you don't take a probiotic then you should really start especially while taking antibiotics - there is a waiting time though between the probiotic and an antibiotic - I think its take the probiotic 2 hours after the antibiotic but I'm not sure. But if you're not interested in probiotics then yogurt will work too, it's just not that effective as a probiotic. I don't take probiotics but when I had to take antibiotics for bronchitis, I ate yogurt and I had no troubles with the antibiotic at all.

I hope you feel better soon, sinus infections are horrible!

Sinus infections stink! I have had my first two ever this year. Hope you get to feeling better soon! And yes you do need to stagger when you take an antibiotic and your probiotic.

This probably sounds crazy, but I get a sinus infection almost every time I am on Prednisone. No one seems to be able to tell me why. Anyway, I end up on a round of antibiotics every time. I've never had any interaction problems.

Expecting, Prednisone decreases your ability to fight off infections which can be why you get sinus infections while on it. It lowers your immune system.

Probiotic 2 hours before or 4 hours after the antibiotic.

Probiotics are very important! Antibiotics kill off all of the bugs in your guts - good and bad. Probiotics help repopulate (sp?) the good bugs you need in your guts! Remember - start small, build from there, and you may have some excess gas when you start the probiotic - it should go away in a few days to a week.

Feel better soon!
