Well, im not sure what is going on now.  A couple of you know my lil story.  Briefly,  I have UC with constipation.  After I started taking Asacol, Pred, Cortofoam...the nasty symtoms of UC really tappered off.  Mucos, blood and ugencies have become a lot better.  After the first 2 - 3 weeks my BM's were pretty good, soft formed, I could handle it no problem, but now for the last 2 weeks my BM's have almost stopped to were I will have a couple little quarter size nuggets every other day (if that) and then after about 4 or 5 days........MASSIVE CRAMPING that ends up with me in anod out of the bathroom for about an hour or two with MEGA "D" ( I literally thought I was going to hyperventilate and pass out the last time )  After the whole episode is done, it goes back to nothing.  I am now on my 7th day with only 2 little BM's the size of a couple quaters and if I gently feel my left side intestine, it is very full.  I feel quite heavy in the gut, but I cant stop freakin eating.

I drink almost 4 ltrs. of water a day and 1 gatorade.  The only thing that I have that might cause constipation is a half of a banana in the morning.  I mainly am eating stuff like apple sauce, chicken, white fish, potatoe, pasta, rice, carrots, peanut butter, jelly, soda crackers, nutella, rice bread.  I have even tried taking a couple of prunes.

How do I get things moving without causing anything else to get nasty?

Now, because I get constipated, should I be looking to have extra fiber?

OFF TOPIC QUESTION:

My left testicle has been hurting (low throbby feeling) for the last couple of days and the pain has radiated to my lower back on the left side.  Anyone, ever had anything like this?  Maybe just not enough NOOKY...lol

I have an appointment with my new GI this Wednesday for a flex. sig. (yeehaa)  Gotta get cleaned out by then and then drive and hour.....oh joy.

Thanks for the input....

What really helped me when I was having constipation problems and painful issues along with it, was using Colace Stool Softener (one in the morninh, two after dinner) and Metamucil (two in the AM and two in the PM). As well, I have been eating Activia (yogurt) daily and taking probiotiics daily.

Hope you get more regular soon.

I recently had laproscopic surgery and the anesthia left me horribly constipated that I was starting to really hurt so I called the GI and he recommend taking Miralax. I did and I expected horrible cramping, running to the bathroom kind of thing but I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get any of that. I don't know how often you can take that though but it's an idea.
