heartburn as well?

its a whlie since ive posted but...

i recently had a flare which was possibly triggered by too much acid in my stomach

ive been burping an awful lot recently and have a lot of mucous at the back of my throat (thats something i have always sufeered with though so may not be connected)

but also and this is the strangest bit for me, i have a numb sort of feeling sometimes when i brfeathe in, its like ive had a menthol sweet (you know that 'cool' feeling you get?) what does that mean?

coz im worried it means ive burnt the whatsits out of my throat and its really sore and inflamed??

i really dont want to have to go for a camera....

yeah i take them with food.... (mostly :/)

i was prescribed omeprazole on my steroid round which ive just finished (the steroids always make my stomach burn so i get omeprazole at the same time) but this flare i had this possible heartburn at the start and it seems to have possibly come back at the end too!

well ive only ever been on it when ive had a UC flare ive never been on it alone, never really had that muvh of a problem plus i never realised it could be acid/heartburn i thought it was just one of those quirks of UC! stupid huh!

i want to go to the docs and see if they will give me it to take on its own for a while (i.e when im not on steroids) but i really really dont want a camera and im worried they will say i need one.... in which case i know i will just have to get over it but im not sure how i will deal with it...

my husbands dad has just been diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus (SP?) though so i know i should do something as long term acid left untreated can cause complications....

oh what a tangled web life can weave sometimes! LOL
