Hey guys

Well i managed to catch a cold. i dont know if its a cold. Yesterday i woke up with a very bad soar throat. And i garggled twice with salt and water and used vicks vapour rub. I was also feeling chills and cold the entire day yesterday. No fevor nothing like that. I have no cough. I was just having mucus coming out of my throat. And today its the same thing. Except yesterday it was all slimey mucus like..gelly like. And today its all green like. I have colitis so im not taking any over the counter medication and i havnt eaten anything all day today. Just drinking some water. Also there is red stuff so im guessing this is blood and im also tasting blood in back of my throat guessing this is from spitting out 2 much mucus. Because when i blow my nose it doesnt come out and my nose feels stuffed up so i have to spit it out.

And once i do my nose isnt stuffed up anymore. Ill see how long it lasts then i guess ill go to a local clinic.

Is is normal to catch colds and other things while having colitis...because my Gi said that colitis is auto-immune but if one catchs a cold doesnt that mean  the immune system is low or weak. ??

Just because you get a cold/virus/illness doesn't necessarily mean the whole immune system is weak. Even healthy people with healthy immune systems get sick on occasion. It just means that the little virus broke thru the immune defense. I wouldn't wait until you get any worse - if I was you, I would head to the clinic now. Green mucous is a sign of infection. You should be on antibiotics pronto.
