I guys and gals. I have Crohn's but since it's mainly in the last part of my colon it mimics UC. I was wondering if any of you have tail bone pain. I'm suppose to be in remission but for the last 6 weeks my tail bone has been achey. It started only in the afternoon on the way home from work (bucket seats). But, now it's consistantly hurts. Even when I lay down. I'm having a CT scan on thursday but I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. I'm leaning to either fistulas or abcess (Crohn's symptom) or just good old inflammation. I'm really in a lousy mood about it. Just want to know what your thoughts were.

Vicky, when my disease is flaring I'll get horrible feelings of pressure in that area. I describe it as an elephant standing on my (butt), but I've never had actual soreness. I hope yours doesn't signify a serious turn for you.

Yes I get that on occasion even in remission. It sort of feels like it's bruised or something and it's especially noticable when I sit down.

I get back pain a lot since I've been diagnosed with proctitis. It's tough laying on my side, since it makes my tailbone hurt. I don't really understand it.

I haven't had a bad episode of diarrhea since July I think. Last bleeding was in September.

I had tailbone pain and my dr. ordered a xray and it showed lower spinal disk damage and deterioration as well as arthritis. My dr. said its caused from having uc for so many years. I was diagnoised in 1989. He prescribed vicodin but it makes me feel weird so i dont take it. Yet another painful part of dealing with this disease.

I have it today and I think my bum is just tired, I am hoping that is it. My UC is mainly in my rectum.
