I have been feeling so much better on Lialda but have had intense hot flashes since starting it.  Don't get my wrong, I'd rather have the hot flashes then all the UC symptoms mainly the pain and fatigue.

Does anyone else get Hot Flashes or Night Sweats on Lialda?  What do you do to control them?  So far, I've tried soy based products with a small amount of relief.  Help!

I got hot flashes REALLY bad when I was on Rowasa. (It was winter in Michigan and I was wearing t-shirts!) The mesalamine can cause it. I don't know why the Rowasa caused hot flahes and the Asacol didn't for me. I found it to be strange that the docs never mentioned that as a side effect, but I was able to read about it online!

I have been I lialda for 3 months.  Never noticed sweats or hot flashes.  I have night sweats due to pain meds and steriods.  I have been off them for months so no more of that.  Not sure why you would get them from Lialda.  I it is Asacol in a larger pill.  Maybe it is the other stuff you are taking in combination with Lialda.
