Assuming your insurer agreed you could go into Mt. Sinai Hospital for IV Cyclosporine, hope you're feeling better & can report back to us soon. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

Thanks everyone for thinking of me.

I just got back from the hospital this afternoon, I was at Mount Sinai for 12 days on IV Cyclosporine.

I am exhausted I will write more either this weekend or early next week. I need to catch up on my life, work and most importantly my rest but promise to write more next week; it was a very interesting hospital stay.

I am going to bed right now.

p.s. I am basically in remission as of yesterday. I even drank a large ice coffee and ate 2 large fruit cups just to test out my colon.... I am happy to report that my colon passed the test without incident.

hey, good deal, Keith! I'm glad the cyclosporine worked. So what's next, are you still planning for surgery? I had a double dose of  Remicade this past Monday to ttry to stabilize me a bit, & started bleeding again Wednesday pm.... so frustrating! I'm just trying to bide my time comfortably 'til my surgery, November 14th. At this point I am SO looking forward to it!
