is there anything to take in addition to our meds to help with this? I've been cramping bad the last few days :(

My GI has prescribed hyoscyamine in the past. It is an antispasmatic and supposed to help w/ cramping. The ones I had dissolved under the tongue.

Same here, although I could tell if it really helped or was more of a placebo effect. Back in my IBS days, I used to use donnatal. You can ask your doc to prescribe an antispasmodic.

My hubby takes Librax to help with the cramping - it's a smooth muscle relaxer and it seems to help some. When he's really bad off, he uses a heating pad on his gut as well. Hot baths seems to help too - we're still trying to figure out if we can get a hot tub prescription so insurance will pay for it. tongue I've also heard peppermint is a natural anti spasmodic - you can get capsules of peppermint oil (better than fish oil burps!) or sip peppermint tea. Every little bit helps!
