Had my cscope today. My doctor told me it looked fantastic. No sign of any inflamation. I feel like jumping for joy. yeah   He did take some biopsies, but he told me everything looked ok.

He did tell me that he did see some scaring, but that is normal, due to some pretty deep sores in the past.  He told me that I can start tapering down some of my doseage of asacol to 9 a day, but taper slowly. I just am so happy.

congrats Jano!

Can you please tell me exactly what GNC probiotic you're taking? Is it the Super Probiotic in a brown box?

The Probiotic I am taking is called Pro-Biotics Acidophilus. It is in a blue bottle.  GNC says this is there best one they sell. It does not have a GNC lable. It is made by Nutrition Now INC. out of Vancouver.  I can only find this in there stores. I tried online, but no luck.

Hope this helps

sitnpretty - Welcome to the forum. I've found this to be a great place. I haven't noticed any side effects (no gas or anything) from the reuteri, but I think some people may have some gas after first starting any probiotic. I think it usually it takes about a month for your body to adjust. Another forum member, pb4, takes this probiotic and would probably know more about it than I. She may have more information on it for you. You may want to start a new post if you have any other questions on it or do a search on the top of the page for probiotics.
