I just stumbled on this PubMed case of a UC patient flaring after a flu shot.  Not to cause alarm but, between Imuran and UC, I am never too sure about flu shots (besides which, alot of the data on their effectiveness in preventing the flu is ambiguous- some studies claim big benefits, others none at all).

Flaring or simmering ever since
10 20 mg pred, 100 mg Imuran
Probiotics (mainly Primal Defense)
Turmeric/circumin, various vitamins/minerals,
Low-carb version of Specific Carb Diet

I'm a bit skeptical about the shots too - however, both my GI and GP recommended I get one. Especially while on the Imuran. I guess I'm trying to err on the side of caution. However, getting stuck with that needle is TOTALLY a personal choice!
Pan-colitis and GERD diagnosed May 2003

Asacol 12 per day,  Azathioprine 75mg, Rowasa and Canasa as needed
Aciphex, Effexor XR, BCP, Rhinocort nasal spray

Osteopenia (hip and spine) from prednisone use.  Started Azathioprine because I was steroid dependent.

hmmm...I was planning on getting mine tommorrow. Now I don't know if I want to. But it's reporting it happened to only one person, so it's not all that alarming I guess.

I got my flu shot about 4 hours ago and no ill effects so far. My arm's a tiny bit sore, but that's it. The woman who gave me the shot said I had "tough skin." Not really sure what she meant by that...

I was supposed to get my shot yesterday, but had to cancel the appt. because my oldest daughter is sick...we think from the flu (taking her to the hospital soon since other doctors don't seem to be too worried).  i'm amazed at how I haven't caught it from her yet.  my wife had a minor fever last night (100.5), I have yet to get more than a sore throat, which only lasted a few hours.
