Is it ok to take Xanax while on prednisone & asacol? I used to be on xanax for panic attacks and I've been feeling a bit edgy at times lately and was wondering about
this interaction. Help would be appreciated.

You should be just fine.
To ease your mind, contact your pharmacist.
You can also look at

. But it's always best to ask the pharmacist!

I've taken that exact combination of drugs -- not often, but occasionally. I never have a problem with a low dose of Xanax and my UC meds.
The only problem with Xanax, I think, is that it makes me tired. Also, it can be addictive.
Depending on how edgy you are and if it's really persistent, you might want to consult a doctor about
taking something like Celexa, Lexapro, or one of the other anti-depressants that can help with edginess. It can be great, I think, for those of us who are stressed from UC.
