It seems a few of the forum go-ers have enjoyed my photos that I posted here in the past and so I would like to "re" post a photo of mine that I'm very proud to announce has won 2nd place in Popular Photography's "Your Best Shot" contest for November 2007!!!!!  It is on stands now if you want to take a peak.  yeah

Dx'D in 1990. Remission 1991 - 1/2005
Both flares were in extremely stressful times in my life
Colonoscopy 10/2005 80% of Colon diseased, or as I like to say "Intestinely challenged"
*****9/2007 dumped my GI who I refer to as "Satan" New GI, new med TOTAL remission with in 2 weeks.
Colazal 9 capsules a day*****

Great photo, Ryan.

Looks like the chapel at the AFA. So I went and looked at some of your work and I see some gorgeous shots including some from mountains. Looks like some Colorado Shots.

Pan-colitis and GERD diagnosed May 2003
 
Asacol 12 per day,  Azathioprine 75mg, Rowasa and Canasa as needed
Aciphex, Effexor XR, BCP, Rhinocort nasal spray
Forvia and a Probiotic
 
Osteopenia (hip and spine) from prednisone use.  Started Azathioprine because I was steroid dependent.

bratcat was diagnosed with pancolitis October 2006
Current meds:
Asacol - 4 pills/3Xday
hydrocortisone enema nightly, rowasa in the morning
40 mg prednisone daily
 
11/14/06 - started prednisone; 1/28/07 - finished prednisone!
3/3/07 - began to taper off hydrocortisone sloowwly!
Summer 2007 - slowly began tapering Rowasa
9/07 -- flaring? Nightly Rowasa. 9/21/07 -- added hydrocortisone enemas. 9/30/07--added prednisone

*Heather*Status:mini flare June 23* 6asacol daily+ Salofalk (tapered every 4th night)

~5ASA: Asacol + Salofalk enemas (increase for flares tapered to maintenance)
~Bentylol (dicyclomine) 20mg as needed

~Probiotic 2 (Natural Factors Protec) + 1 (Primadophilus Reuteri) at bedtime
~Natural Factors Multi Digestive Enzymes with supper
~Ranitidine,Pariet (reflux) Effexor XR 75mg;  Pulmicort/Airomir (asthma)
~URSO for PSC (or PBC) 500mg X 2 daily (LFTs back to NORMAL!!)
My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS"  worth it !!!
