Lately my daughter has been complaining of sore muscles. Is this common? This morning she could hardly get going her whole body was sore and her stomach or somewhere around there was stinging. Any suggestions? Anything I can give her to help with the stinging pains.

Hi...your daughter will be going through mega changes body-wise related to growth and reproductive changes...so it might be difficult for her/you to determine exactly what's going on.

Is she still on pred?

I had unbelievable muscle pains when I was around that age...I grew over 6 inches in that year. It was explained as growing pains..lol. Joint pains were always a constant in my knees, ankles and back..not changed since I was a teen, however...can't decide if it makes me feel "young" or "old".

I would make sure she's getting enough calcium with magnesium and vitamin D. I would also make sure her vitamin B12 isn't too high if she doesn't need it, but to give her a well-balanced multi (not chewable) and an extra complex B that's lower in mgs rather than too high.

can you give her Tylenol? That might help take the edge off the consistent pain.

Lots to consider at her age...how is her diet?
