I'd like the same answer. My doc says I may have IBD but I don't feel unwell at all.. I only bleed with BM's.

What is a a flare?

A flare is when you have Uc symptoms - ANY Uc symptom such as bleeding (mild-severe), diarrhea, pain, fatigue, mucous, urgency, possible fever, weight loss, loss of appetite, joint pain.

Remission is when there is no sign of the above symptoms - you didn't ask about this but I thought I would throw it in there :) But remission for some may include some of the above symptoms, just in a milder form but never bleeding - that is never considered to be in remission.
Left sided Uc -'92 - Colazal, Canasa, 6mp, Prilosec, Biotin, Forvia
Allergies - Singulair, Allegra, Astelin(got the script - just haven't tried it yet!)
Secondary Reynauds Syndrome - '04 - Norvasc
Fibromyalgia - '06
