MSN messanger - easy to use - most people I know use it.

Don't really care for Yahoo's style. Is ICQ around any more? I used that way back when.

You?

I prefer either AIM or MSN because they're both easy to use. I sometimes use Yahoo too but not that often.

I had AIM on my old computer (Windows 98) before my new computer (Vista)....and the new style is very teeny which is difficult to see...also the close button is so small it's difficult to close the window.  I can't make it bigger no matter how hard I tried...so it's been uninstalled.

I downloaded Yahoo..at least I could sign in because I already have an ID in Yahoo. A plus.

I downloaded MSN...sheesh, twice, twice uninstalled and couldn't sign in. So...that's finished.

I'm sort of new at this again...different stuff with different versions of MS maybe?

Anyway...Yahoo won it seems.

Thanks for the feedback everyone....always appreciated.

I just recently got Vista too and even though basically everything is the same as XP - if you didn't have XP then you might get lost trying to find your way around the Vista. MSN on Vista is called Windows Live Messenger. And I agree on the small exit button on AIM - it seems I have to have a super steady hand in order to try to get the mouse on the X!

Right...windows live messenger...still couldn't log on properly. I think because Yahoo is connected automatically with Yahoo...may as well stay with it..... easy is good for me regarding computers.

I've never had XP...so can't compare. I do like the Vista..one thing I had to do was change the font style so that all would be the same from site to site...took a while to figure out. What happens during some updates, however...the font changes..grrr. But, still happy with it.

I really don't like to IM, but when I have to, I'll use Windows IM. Yahoo everything is too cumbersome, and nothing from AOL will be on my computer if I can prevent it.

I like AIM-Pro (http://aimpro.premiumservices.aol.com/), it has XM & AOL Radio built into it for free. AIM-Pro has MS Outlook Integration so I can see what my calander looks like and it has Outlook reminders but it is still AIM client (which is why I have it) ,but the music part is really cool.

Tillian solves your problem by supporting all of the chat programs (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IRQ, ICQ) into one single program. http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/learn/ there is a free program and also one that you can purchase with more features.

I only ever use Yahoo!... I've used it forever and have gotten attached to the emoticons and avatars and the like, haha. I don't like AIM and I don't mind MSN just never use it. I used to use ICQ and Powwow way back in the day, I don't think powwow is around anymore though. I know ICQ is but I don't know anyone who uses it.

Also, I downloaded Myspace messenger and only used it once but I really liked the way it would show up as a speech bubble for each message.
Female, 22, Ulcerative colitis (pancolitis) since 1999; GERD; gastritis; osteopenia in hip & lumbar region of spine from long term prednisone use

Current Meds:

125mg Imuran

Should also be on supplements and probiotics and other UC drugs but I'm just not good at taking pills...
