I posted my intro today. The DR said preliminary showed UC--A few weeks ago when they thought they were clearing up the infection they had me on Flagyl and the Z-pack to cover all areas. THey also started me on Celexa for depression I had been on that 2 days when I awoke with a burning sensation all over my body. This lasted a couple nights ( I came back off the Celexa) I figured yesterday it would be okay to try and start again- I took it at 7pm last night and took half a klonapin (.5) also. I awoke and felt like I was on fire again- does this sound like a side effect of that celexa or do any of you all feel that with the flare ups? I am still having it a little today. My thyroid swings in and out also- but had it checked yesterday and it was normal again. Thanks!

I have never experienced a burning sensation during a flare. Well... sometimes my bottom burns from too many bathroom trips! But I know what is causing that.
It sounds like you have found a link with the Celexa.

Terri
Every single night and whenever I get up and start moving about
my head feels like I'm on fire I now have a portable air conditioning macine which is on most nights and I must be the only person living in Germany who sleeps without the heating on right now. The rest of my body can be normal I have been asking the docs about
this for 3 years and got nowhere, you can see my list of medications although I must update it.
Sorry I can't offer any answers.
Take care.
Dave
