For the last 5-6 days I have had 2 formed bms a day. I mean 'normal' people bms! What in the world?! I did take Quincy's advice and have added more fiber to my diet (veges, apples, salad). Thanks Q! Nothing else has changed. Of course in the back of my mind I fear the calm before the storm. I'm trying to be positive. Since my diagnosis 2 years ago I have been lucky if I get mushy bms (sorry for the graphic). I have pretty bad IBS but even it has been behaving. I think I will just enjoy it and take each day as it comes. Thanks for letting me share.

That's great news! Mine have been getting close to "normal" too the past few days after having mushy BMs at best since February. I recently added a fiber supplement into my diet.

I just started taking fiber supplements today in hopes of joining this dance party.  The only well formed stools I have seen for over a year are the ones in my front yard from my neighbor's dog.  I wonder if a large bag of Ole Roy would do the trick.

Make sure you drink plenty of water daily, or fibre won't be such a friend...enough water and fibre go hand in hand...fibre aids with D or C that's the nice thing about fibre and why I've been boasting about it for the last 4ish yrs now.

Tabitha....WooHoo!!

Different fibres for different needs....not everyone can take all kinds...but it's necessary in our diets.

Definitely do the enough water intake suggestion if you're taking fibres....alhough some fibres which add bulk but don't have absorbing qualities won't be too good for those who have diarrhea.

May your good poos continue!
