i know that some of ya'll are contemplating surgery and that one of the big concerns is if people will be able to tell, it was for me at least.  So i put this together to see if you could figure out which pic has the bag.  You can go to www.photobucket.com and the username is Crohnsdisease  and the password is 6mp3asa and there is a pic that is called, summercanyoutell

in of those two pics i am wearing my bag, it has been about three hours since i changed it, and int he other pic i dont' have a bag yet.

I just thought this may help if you are thinking of surgery.  adn it will be kind of fun to see if anyone gets it right!

I really can't tell!! I would guess the right one, but then again you're bent over so ya never know. But darn... I thought you'd def see!

i had it in april of this year. My breaking point was when i missed my son at the beach because i was too sick to leave the house. And then i ended up in the hopstial with that poor little thing at home crying for me. By the way, the reason the pics are cropped like that is because he is in both of them, and you would be able to tell which was the newer by looking at him. Anyway, i just realized i was gonna miss his whole life if i didnt' do something!

I want everyone to know i didnt' post this to try to push anyone towards surgery, just to show people who were leaning that way that you can't see it.

I Have 2 Kids 1~10 years old & a 3 years old Both momma girls. And I'm Tired Of Misssing Out. I have A very Supportive Husband. But He Works Every Other Day So It's Like Being A Single Mom. Did You Have Any Problems? Cause I Would Have To Get The Bag. They Said Reconnecting Is Not An Opition. & Are You On Any Meds.? How Is Your Health Now? Thank You So Much It's So Nice To Have Someone To Talk To, I don't Know anyone W/ UC in my area. & If you don't mind me asking How old are you? Cause I'm Only 29, & i don't know if i should wait til i get older?

i was 29 too, come over to the ostomy board and post and ask lots of questions everyone is really nice and will answer and you will get others opinions too! I am on meds, but not for that. I am in good health, still alittle tired, but i think that's more because i have a two year who WILL NOT sleep, lol. It really helped me alot to have the people on this board and on the ostomy part of this board to talk to.

I have been contemplating surgery lately. I am tired of my life been dictated by my colon. My son is wanting me to go with him on a school trip to Washington DC this spring. The thought practically scares me to death. Excuse Mr President but I have UC, can I use your bathroom? I want to be able to go anywhere I want to without worrying about where the bathroom is. Right now I am not flaring but I still have urgencies. Sometimes I don't make it to the bathroom & I getting to the point of not wanting to go anywhere. I am afraid that I will not make it to the bathroom while I am out. this is so unlike me. I like being out & about & around people. but this disease is putting my life into hybernation & I am tired of it.

that is how i was feeling, and now i don't have to worry.  I didn't really expect such a response!  but like i told happydays, comeover to the ostomy board and we will all answer questions!

PS...the answer is in my sig, read it backwards!  i did it that way so people wouldnt' just see it
