I am about to start a 4 week daily regime with Salofalk Enema's and would like to hear some success stories to keep me motivated during this treatment process.  I have tried this in the past and never followed through to the end.  My husband and I are hoping to try for a child so there is strong motivation to get this flair up under control before getting pregnant.

CD since 1988,

Cocktail of medications ( Remicade included) and have explored many herbal remedies.

Currently experiencing another flair up after 4 years of remission.

In the US the 5ASA enemas are called Rowasa. I've used them! I think they were a key tool in getting off of pred this last go around.

No, their not "fun", but they do work! They really aren't as bad as my imagination made them out to be.

I actually used them nightly for about three months - my flare was that bad. Then I tapered to every other night, every third night, etc. I eventually lost track and ended up stopping... However, keep your dreams in mind - and a calendar at hand - and you can do anything!

Good luck!
