After several months of being very sick, my daughter has started the Humira injections.  They start with 4 and two weeks later, 2 and then are going to taper to once a week.  She has had the first 4 one week ago today.  At first, she seemed to be improving.  Not sure if it was physical or mental but at least her daily vomiting has stopped.  But she is having more bathroom runs and some blood.

Has anyone had any experience with what to expect.  Of course I know that each individual is different but just not sure if the increase in bathroom stops and diariah is because the food is actually going through her instead of comming up or is the humira not working for her. Is it too soon to tell?

Any thoughts would be appreciated,

By the way, this is the only thing she is on, no other meds and a very stubborn teen who will not swallow even vitamins.

Thanks so much,

Julie

My GI's group participated in some of the trials. What one of the nurse practitioners told me is that it was about as effective as Remicade, but did work for some people who didn't respond to Remi. I hope your daughter is one of these!
