second colonoscopy

my first dr. said that he'd want to do a second colonoscopy 6 months to a year after my first one to truely diagnose my UC. but i switched dr.'s...dr. #2 is really reluctant to do one and says that once i've had UC for 8 years then I'll start having colonoscopies more often.

Then just do it, 6 months later it might be that you don't have UC but just plain Colitis and you might be cured and not have to take meds for 8 years!
