Thanks for asking, glad to be doing better, it was a truly horrible flare!

I meet w/the Nephrologist on 11/09 to go over my progress.  I was originally losing 4.7g protein a day as of 09/07 and as of 10/05 was losing 3.2g a day and I am hoping I am doing better, I hope I am am losing less proteins and can taper the pred to a lower dose.  It's hard to wait month to month to find out how I am doing.  I nearly had a pred flip out today, when I thought the lab screwed up my results and I would have to change my Dr. appt, luckily it is all squared away (I hope) and I did not flip out = )

The weird thing w/the pred for me is I haven't gotten the surge of energy that everyone seems to get, I wonder if it was because I was so sick and my body is still healing.

How are you doing??

Hey, I'm doin' great. Had surgery 10 days ago for that nasty gall bladder and except for a burp now and then, you'd never know it.

I'm glad you didn't have to flip out over the lab results today. That nasty pred can make even the most even-tempered person flip out. What we go through sometimes, huh?

Surge of energy? I get it for about one day and then it disappears, too, Beth. I gotta think that our poor bodies just at some point that, "That's it. I give up!"

But hearing that you UC is getting under control was just great to read. Now if you can get some more good news on November, we'll be ready to stroll into 2008 in fine form. I'm ready. I'm sure you are, too!

Glad to hear your gall bladder surgery went well. It's gotta be tough, and very painful, hopefully all the pain is gone now and everything heals up nicely....except for the burps = )

hope we can make it through the holidays and really be able to enjoy it. Last year I wasn't that into it but this year, with all the support from my family and friends I am really looking forward to just being with everyone and having as much fun as possible.
