Is there a link between having a bowel movement when you think about it too much?

I have been experimenting and I go about 2 or 3 times a day (TMI) and it nearly always happens when I am thinking about having one intensely or wondering when I will next have one.

Sad experiment,  bud anyone else think the same?

Although there is definitely a brain-gut connection, even when I'm busy concentrating on other things besides BM's I'll still get a signal to "go"...there's always the possibility that by thinking about it constantly it could trigger a reaction, but I know from my experiance even when not thinking about BM's I still have times when I have to "go".

I know two different people who claim you can train your body to go at a certain time. For instance, in the morning when you get up, you go to the bathroom and try to go and after a time of doing this, you will start going regularly at that time. I thought they were crazy, but I did experience it with my daughter. So I think it is possible, the brain controls alot more than you think.
Also, has anyone seen the show about the brain in the colon? It was on PBS. I think it was the special "FAT, what they don't want you to know". Scientists are discovering the colon has a mind of its own and it communicates with the rest of the body. Something like that - forgot what else it said.

Thats exactly me, I've trained my body to go in the morning and after lunch but not in the evening. I tried changing that to morning and evening and ended up messing it up for the next day by going 3 times in the morning due to a build up.
