I had thyroid surgery and my large nodule was a tummor but they found a second one that was cancer

but the good thing is it was only 5mm in size so they were able to surgically remove it -  so no radiation therapy -  YEA!!     That was on Monday Nov 5th- 

If  they had not felt the large tumor in the neck - that had a hard layer of calcium around it - the other would have grown and spread.

I do believe you have a guardian angel looking out for you! You got very lucky! I too am glad that everything came out ok.

I know that God was looking out for me.
Thank you all for the good thoughts - I am already feeling better today - can turn my neck every way but up all the way - still dont want to look at it.

My 3 almost 4 year old keeps asking if he can touch it - I cringed when the doctor wanted to -


I am just blessed it worked out that way.

Oh wow...funny how things like that find something else.. I wonder if the other tumour was in a way protecting an area from the smaller cancer one?

Regardless..it was found and removed. I'm happy to hear you don't have to have radiation. How often will you have to have ultrasounds?
