I'm in the same boat except for the fact that I haven't gotten back to the dr to take blood tests to see if I'm with normal levels or not. My husband is set on thinking that I just don't wanna get outta bed, but I really CAN'T! I'm just exhausted all of the time now. It started right after a horrible flare and starting pred and lialda. Even if I sleep all night.. 9 hours even more... I am just exhausted... I will go to work and by the end of it I can barely move. I get so cranky cuz I just don't want to deal with anything.

I'm tired all the time too (Flare or no flare). I started working out consistently a few months ago (my son started preschool so I finally have time). Anyway I go 4 times a week and I swear it is really helping. I'm still tired but I think it is better. Do you take a mutivitamin?

I think exercise helps me well.

I know I sound like a broken record, but why not try cutting out sugars (cakes, sodas, fruit juices, candy, etc.), breads and milk for a while...it helped me regain most of my energy, I can at least function and do things now.

I hear ya! It seems all I do is work and then lay on the couch and doze until my husband wakes me up to go bed, where I fall right back to sleep. I just had blood drawn yesterday and my GI is doing tests for vitamin deficiiencies, anemia, thyroid, you name it, he's testing for it. I should know by Tuesday. For the past two months he kept insisting it's due to stress and depression but I was like, the darn UC is the only thing stressing me out because I can't effing function anymore. I begged him to get to the root of the fatigue and rule out something "real" before declaring it stress and depression.

I miss the gym but I just can't push myself through even a gentle work out. If my stomach gives me a break from running to the bathroom I try to take my dogs for a good brisk walk at least.

I went through about a year of anemia before testing and put on iron.  I'm out of the anemic stage now, about 15 hem., but still have bouts of extreme fatigue.  I went low carb a couple of months ago.  Although I have lost 20 lbs., I still don't feel on top of things at all.  Mornings are just awful.  I'm so sore all over, I go to the half bath and take two Excedrin and lay back down knowing I'll feel better in a few minutes.  It takes most of the morning counting meds, BM,s, before I can start to function.  It's frustrating knowing something is wrong without being able to do anything about it.  Whatever I do does'nt seem to make much difference.  I've had to use Canasa the last few nights for what appears to be a flareup on the bottom.  I used to work out on my elliptical trainer.  Now I don't think I could get it out of the spare bedroom.
