My daugther is constipated, she goes and have a bm 2 or 3 days apart and stool is hard. The bm is straining her, im giving her lots of water  and adding vegetables in her meals. Her meal is rice, chicken, vegetables, and her milk (peptamen junior). Have read that prevacid may cause constipation she takes pentasa, prednisolone 15mg . After telling her pedia GI, she ordered me to use babylax (glycerin enema), is it safe to use this form of laxative? will it affect her UC and cause some flare? does anyone experience this  Im just worried help any advice or inputs badly needed.

I can't comment on whats safe for a child but I can say that on occasion I use Miralax (recommended by my GI) for occasional constipation and I have had no bad results from it. I think that as long as you don't overdo it and don't rely solely on it for her to go to the bathroom, that occasional use should be ok.
