Has anyone taken arthritis meds prior to the onset of being diagnosed with UC?

I had taken Dolobid a few years before diagnosis for horrific back spasms/pain. It worked well...and I didn't notice any side effects from it.

I don't believe that it's what caused me to have UC...

I took NSAIDs for years for severe joint pains. They never caused me any problems. In fact, I still take Naproxen. My GI approved it because it doesn't affect my UC symptoms and it's basically the only thing that allows me to keep walking.

Left-sided UC diagnosed 2001.  Taking Colazal and Imuran, Remicade infusions and moving into remission. Finally off steroids after four years!

Now in remission for almost two years. Remicade has been my wonder drug.
