Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you know how im doing.  I think im doing better.  Yesterday i was having so much pain that i used a mesamalimine enema.  Woke up about an hour later and had to go to the bathroom and out came the enema.  Well i dont think it all came out because ive been having even worse pain.  Anyways i started my colazal today and made myself some white rice, chicken with olive oil and collard greens.  Im so hoping to get better so i can get back to work and have a normal life. Lastnight i took a look at it this way, i was crying because i want to be well for Thanksgiving and spend it with my family sooo...I decided to look at it like this, cancer patients have to take chemo and suffer in order to get better, and so with uc ive decided to do the same.  Take my meds even if i feel bad, hopefully  the side affects will subside and if i need to change my eating habits in order to be and feel well than thats what ill have to do.  Oh and by the way i drank decaf tea with no sugar too!  Thank you all once again for being there and caring!

I hope you do improve with the meds....give it a fair try..and if you do get worse, it's probably the meds that are exacerbating some of your symptoms.

Your supper sounds delicious!

Hi..you're doing the enemas as well, right?

You'll find your own "normal"...we all have to adjust and change some things to accommodate what needs have to be met during flares/maintenance.

Please look at the big picture...if the 5ASA meds work for you...hang tough, let them do their job and you'll get to realise that it's not all that bad to be using meds that help make you feel better.

What kind of work do you do butterfly?
Are you back full-time?
