yeah  I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  It is tough for us guys on holidays especially those that focus on food!  nono Try to enjoy and have some fun!
Current meds are:
Asacol 6 pills a day
Lexapro 20 mg once a day
Ativan .5 mg when needed

My first thanksgiving as a UCer. Though I get pretty down at times, I must be thankful for what I do have. Supportive family, friends, and coworkers, a job, a home, and most importantly--health insurance! Seriously.  And HealingWell forums!

Dx Left-sided UC Dec. 2006
Azathioprine 150mg/day
Prednisone 2.5mg/day- back up to 7.5 (trying to taper-started at 60 6/1)
Lialda 4/day
Multivitamin, B complex vit., fish oil, calcium, fiber supplement, probiotic

Happy turkey day to you too! I look forward to all the good eats on this day as well as thinking on what I truly am grateful for. Puts a whole new perspective on your life when you think about what you DO have and that we take for granted.

Sherry, I second that! And I also want to say that I am very thankful for healingwell and all of you guys. When I get stressed, worried, or just need a good laugh, there is no one who understands better than my colon challenged buddies! Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at Healing Well. We have much to be thankful for this holiday season. And very happy we found this site!!!

61 yr old male~Colitis 1st diagnosed Jan '05-cleared up within a few wks. Flared again in May '06 (now UC) & hospitalized 5/07-currently heading towards a remission. Osteopena of spine from prednisone DX 8/07  Oct 07 feeling quite normal most days.  150mg Imuran 15 mg prednisone & tapering, 12 Asacol, Lidocaine Hydrochloride Jelly 2%,multi vitamin, iron 1X day, DanActive, chewable calcium, Prilosec 20mg, enalapril 10mg, glipizide 5 mg, zocor 20 mg, baby aspirin, (Fentanyl pain patch 50mg 72 hrs  Morphine Sulf 15 mg twice daily)Cortifoam enemas AM & PM, folic acid 1mg, Fosamax 1x month

and don't forget... eat small, poo small.
28, happily married, stay at home mom to 2 year old son
UC (probably pancolitis, but no c-scope yet), diagnosed June 2006, started having major symptoms sometime in January 2006, about 3 months after childbirth. 2nd flare (minor) may 2007 after taking caprylic acid for 2 weeks.
-tried SCD for 4 weeks with no improvement...
-Asacol since 7/26/06
-Prednisone 8/28/06-2/28/07. and again may '07, 8 week course.
-probiotics, ground psyllium husk, fish oil, CalMag, multivitamin

Pan-colitis and GERD diagnosed May 2003
Asacol 12 per day,  Azathioprine 75mg, Rowasa and Canasa as needed
Aciphex, Effexor XR, BCP, Rhinocort nasal spray
Forvia and a Probiotic
Osteopenia (hip and spine) from prednisone use.  Started Azathioprine because I was steroid dependent.
