During remission is your bowel still inflamed? I was told in the hospital that my bowel is very diseased, but the nurse and nutrishonist didn't undersatnd why i apered and felt fine? this has been bugging me they seemed to think it was odd. so? does the inflamation and ulsers stay during the healing process? i think they would start to fade but that would take time.
sorry if this seems like a dumb question but i have overly worried people around me that think the worst sometimes, and it freaks me out after awhile.

tapering off predizone, going off cipro and ferrous, and upping azathioprine, all by january.

inflammation means there is still a flare to some degree depending on the severity of the well as other symptoms.

My doctor told me that symptoms an c-scopes in some patients don't match...there are some patients who have minimal symptoms when their colons are obviously in acute inflammation and other patients who are in absolute agony with many symptoms and the colon shows minimal inflammation. your UC throughout your colon or limited?

*Heather*Status:mini flare June 23* 6asacol daily+ Salofalk (tapered every 4th night)
~diagnosed January 1989 UC (proctosigmoiditis)
~5ASA: Asacol + Salofalk enemas (increase for flares tapered to maintenance)
~Bentylol (dicyclomine) 20mg as needed
~Probiotic 2 (Natural Factors Protec) + 1 (Primadophilus Reuteri) at bedtime
~Natural Factors Multi Digestive Enzymes with supper
~Ranitidine,Pariet (reflux) Effexor XR 75mg;  Pulmicort/Airomir (asthma)
~URSO for PSC (or PBC) 500mg X 2 daily (LFTs back to NORMAL!!)
My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS"  worth it !!!
