Hello everyone!

I finally updated my blog, the one I started since leaving on my trip up here to Montana. I did add a few pictures and if you want to check it out, here's the web address:

We've had snow for a couple of weeks now and are supposed to be getting another 14 inches tonight.. YAHOO!!!!

This morning when I woke up it was only 3 Degrees! There have been a couple of mornings when it was 1 degree, but nothing below zero yet.. I'm sure it's coming soon though!!!

Your place is absolutely beautiful. It looks so cozy. I love the log cabin. How far is your closest neighbor? It looks so isolated. I love places like that. It looks like a place where you could really have a old fashoned Christmas. Congrats on the move. Take care

Hi Susie...Love Nitro's booties...such a sweetie! Is he a border terrier, griffon..those are the only two I can think of. Sierra seems cozy in her new blankie...I hope she's able to get more of a thicker coat.. the straw in her stall would help keep her cozy at night?

Your place looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Hope you're feeling much better now.

Hey everyone, I am feeling better, but Hubby wants me to come back to CA ASAP... We'll see.

Sherree, you can come up anytime!!! You can fly into Missoula and get a round trip ticket for under 500 bucks... This is definately a cozy comfy cabin and I am loving it here. The downtime is something I have needed for a LONGGGG time and I've actually done a lot of thinking and if and when I do go back to CA, things are going to be a lot different!

I am pretty sure I'll be snowed in here for a while, we are having a snow storm here today and more are coming later on in the week.. I just hope my friend can fly in as planned next Sunday!

Hey Qunicy, My dog is a 2 year old Brussels Griffon... my favorite breed! They are bred for companionship and they really fit the bill~! And, my horse actually likes being outside more than being in the barn, even in the harsh weather! I put her in the barn and she paces and paces and wants back out so badly, so I bought her that blanket and she's out in the storm right now and I can see her.. she's eating and looking like nothing is even bothering her. That blanket keeps her nice and warm plus it's waterproof so she stays dry. She get's under the pine trees for shelter and can keep the snow off her that way.

Jano, My closest neighbor is not that far, I live in an area where we are all on 5 acre parcels, so I have neighbors within sight, you just have to look through the trees to see them! Plus, I have a mobile home on my 5 acre parcel that I am renting out and a very nice lady is living there and has been for years. So I am not as isolated as it looks..

Just taking it a day at a time~

The snow is beautiful! I take it that Montana must get more snow then Michigan? Our averages are from anywhere to 1" to 3' depending on the storm fronts. And your cabin is absolutely beautiful! I'm so envious - that is so my dream home!

THanks Red.... It is my dream home.. I am so hesitant to leave it and go back to CA.... I'm not sure I will at this point, beings that I'm snowed in and more storms are heading this way! Not that I'm complaining though, I love it here and snow to me is so much more cheerful than rain.. In the snow, you can still go outside and feel dry... Not in the rain!! LOL.. I am guessing that Montana might get more snow than Michigan, my Sister lives in Muskegon and I know they get snow, but this has been particularly heavy snow for this time of year for Montana. But, I LOVE IT.....Plus, I'm starting to make friends too, I had my hair cut today and the owner of the beauty shop gave me her phone number and wants to teach me how to play pool! I guess she's on a pool league and I really like to play, but don't know how really and I'm not very good... But I do enjoy it! I have also become friends with both my neighbors, Missy and Lynn, they are very nice and check in on me often! I am feeling more at home here now than ever....

Thats awesome Susie! I'm so glad you are making friends. I like playing pool too but I totally stink at it. I get too distracted for some reason and I can't concentrate on my shots. I even had a pool table for 6 years - you would've figured I could practice but no lol :) And you are soooo right about the snow/rain comparison! I will take 5' of snow anyday over a rainy one!
