www.ccfa.org has information regarding research trials going on. It is the Chrons/Colitis Foundation of America's website.

Stem cell research is taking off already. And yes, even embrionic stem cell research. Embrionic stem cells can now be made from other types of stem cells.

If anything, putting a Democrat in the White House will stifle medical research. They will try to institute socialized medicine and price fix medication. The drug companies will no longer have any incentive to develop new drugs.

Sorry. I wasn't looking to get into a political debate. If someone else starts one, I will be compelled to support my point of view.

if the drugs cost less to the public , more people would be able to use them, thus the drug companies could make there money based on higher volume and the regular folks could be happy now if they could affotd the drugs.
higher volume lower costs.just a thought.-thanks

Just to note, most of the successful studies with stem cells have been done with adult stem cells, taken from the very individual's body (plus, some of the embryonic treatments on mice have shown to develop tumors or other harmful affects, worse than the condition itself).  This would not conflict with either political party, because it sounds like this type of research was adult.  Plus, the article pb4 posted mentioned taking the stem cells from the person's own body.

Ya eh...I cannot wait for this to come into action...I hope it cures everyone with using their own stem cells.
