I have been tapering my prednisone for about a month and a half now... I'm currently on 20mg every morning. I take two lialda with that every morning as well with food.

I've been taking these usually at about 6:15 every morning and on weekends no later than 9 because I like to sleep in. But today I woke up really late.. like 10:00 and my stomach was seriously pissed at me haha. I had 4 bowelmovements and tons of gas and stomach cramping.

Did I mess up my stomach by going off my schedule by that much. I know that people on here have said to try to take it before 9 because that's a body's normal schedule.

I'm just hopin I didn't screw up the healing process.

Hi, I'm new the forum, but less so to UC.

I have been on oral steroids, incl. pred, and I found that it is good idea to take the pred around the same time every morning.  If I took it late, my body would let me know.  That said, I don't think its cause for alarm.  Just make sure you take your dose as soon as you remember in the morning and you should be okay (I once went home from work at 9:30 in the morning to take meds I had forgotten and then went straight back.  The dog didn't know what was going on!).

I usually take the pred at 9am though somtimes, will be at 8 am or 10 am and a couple times not till noon and I was ok. I would think an hour would not make that much difference.
