I was nervous about
the Remicade as well, it's not a big deal. I haven't completely achieved remission on it yet but it has a made a big difference for me so far. Less urgency, no more blood. I am still having trouble tapering off the Prednisone however, but am hopeful that will come with a little more time.
Just remember your immunity will be lower so frequent hand-washing, avoid close crowds ... basic common sense stuff and you should be just fine. The process is painless, those infusion clinic nurses tend to be aces with the needles. Just be sure to bring a book or an iPod or something as it can take up to 3 hours for the procedure.
